Sharon grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey and started working at a Bergen county animal hospital in 1999 and started petsitting at that time from the suggestion of an animal hospital client. She attended school at Bergen Community College and received an Associates in Veterinary Technology. Part of the curriculum included volunteering at the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro. In the summer of 2003, Sharon passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam. Sharon became a Certified Animal Control Officer in 2013. She and her family (husband and son) have lived in Mahwah since 2003. She owns: Rico, a Rottweiler,  Midnight, a Netherland Dwarf Buck, a kinkajou, cats rescued from Paterson, NJ and 2 egg laying chickens. Her interests include: country music, gardening, restoring her Pontaic Firebird, sewing, walks on her property in Deerhaven and nearby Ramapo Reservation, cultivating her own vegetables, trying to be as natural as possible with her land, holistic veterinary medicine, woodworking and crafts.

 Dog Haus Petsitting provides pet sitting in our home or yours. We can adminster all types of medications (at no additional cost). Someone is usually home, never worry that your pet will be lonely. Sharon has worked in the veterinary field since 1999 and worked at Park Ridge Animal Hospital for 10 years. Sharon has worked as an municipal ACO in Bergen and Passaic Counties. Her husband, Michael and son also help with the caregiving.  Her dogs are proud to say they have volunteered their time at the Maywood Center for Health & Rehabilitation as therapy dogs. At times, other clients pets come along (with owners permission). I have forged close relationships with my clients and am always available to them for pet sitting and pet related questions. We have also fostered dogs for a local rescue, Halfway Hounds  and found homes for other dogs. and cats.  Sharon is a past member of: Mahwah CERT , Bergen's CART, Shelter Our Pets and Mahwah Ambulance Company No 4.

Sharon and Michael have been married since 2002. They actually met when Sharon was 11! Michael works fulltime as a maintenance supervisor at a nursing home. He enjoys spending time with his family (going to every possible sports game with his son), autographing and occasionally makes the Mahwah Recreation Softball team. His responsibilities at the Dog Haus include taking care of the animals (sometimes sleeping with individual dogs to make sure they sleep well), property maintenance and occasional backup pet sitter.
